Porn CMS uses SimpleCDN to enable Streaming Video (allows seeking & fast playback) and cheaper file storage. By using the SimpleCDN plugin, your account has NO storage limit.
Follow these steps to enable the SimpleCDN plugin for your Porn CMS site:
- Sign up for a new SimpleCDN account by clicking here
- Login to SimpleCDN, click UPLOAD BUCKETS and create a bucket for your files. A bucket is just a file folder on a CDN cloud.
- Login to your Porn CMS admin and go to ADMIN > CONFIGURE. Next click "SimpleCDN"
- Fill in the SimpleCDN setup form. You will need your SimpleCDN email, password, and bucket name from step 2.
- Once you click "Update Configuration" and your settings are accepted, you are finished!
What Happens Next:
- If you have videos already stored on your site, Porn CMS will begin checking your files and moving them over to your SimpleCDN bucket. An MP4 video file is required for Streaming Video (also known as iPod format on Porn CMS). If you don't already have one, Porn CMS will automatically generate an MP4 before moving your files to SimpleCDN. You can see the transfer status of your files by clicking ADMIN>CONFIGURE>SimpleCDN in the Porn CMS admin. All of your videos will be listed there.
- Once a video's files are moved successfully, the front-end player will automatically update to a streaming video player. Your download files will now also be served from SimpleCDN rather than the Porn CMS server. All of this is automatic.
- Future videos added to Porn CMS will automatically be moved to SimpleCDN after conversion. This could take up to 6 hours, but everything is automated.
- Photo sets and photo set zip files are transferred when they are processed in the Queue. If you add SimpleCDN after you have added photo sets to your site, you will need to reprocess those sets. Simply find the set in CONTENT > PHOTOS and click RESET.
One final point, remember to ADD MONEY to your SimpleCDN account. SimpleCDN is a prepay system. You will receive $15 of credit when you sign up, which should cover your first couple of weeks. After that, be sure to add funds or your video files will be deleted!
